  • CITY COUNCIL MEETING KAUFMAN: Residents voice concerns over growth. City of Kaufman City Council Meeting March 31, 2025.
  • BUDGET: Financial Statements thru March 31, 2025.
  • RESTRICTIVE ACCOUNT: Discuss option of securing small amount to 11 month CD (4.06%)
  • RENEWAL OF TAX COLLECTION CONTRACT: Approval renewing Linebarger Goggan Blair and Sampson, LLP (“Linebarger”) collection of delinquent property taxes.
  • CITY PLANNING: Chairman Jennifer Parker to present “City of Cottonwood, Texas 2025 Comprehensive Plan” and possibly take action to approve an Ordinance adopting the “City of Cottonwood, Texas 2025 Comprehensive Plan.”
  • CITY OF COTTONWOOD TEXAS COMPREHENSIVE PLAN ORDINANCE: Discuss, consider and take action Ordinance No. 4-07-25.
  • KAUFMAN COUNTY THOROUGH PLAN: Update on Thorough Plan. What’s planned for roads in the city.
  • PUBLIC DISCUSSION: Citizens may participate and direct any comments to Council at this time.

Notice of Public Hearing on Adoption of Comprehensive Plan

City of Cottonwood, Texas

Notice is hereby given that the City Council of the City of Cottonwood, Texas will hold a public hearing to receive public comments regarding that adoption of the proposed “City of Cottonwood, Texas 2025 Comprehensive Plan” (the “Comprehensive Plan”) on Monday, April 7, 2025 at 7:00 p.m. at Cottonwood Civic Center, 8330 FM 2451, Scurry, Texas 75158 at the regular monthly meeting of the City Commission.

The City Commission will receive comments from the public and may take action to approve an Ordinance adopting the Comprehensive Plan at the conclusion of the hearing.
